MISSION STATEMENT:

The International Aesthetic Foot Society mission is to promote awareness, interest, and knowledge in the form, function, and beauty of the feet. The feet shouldn't hurt and should look attractive. These goals will be achieved through the education of doctors and the public. The IAFS will educate doctors with interactive, didactic, and hands on courses, educational materials, brochures, DVDs and our web site. Public education will be achieved through the media, our web site, and links to our member's web sites and corporate partner's web sites.

What is the aesthetic foot?

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but sometimes most eyes agree. One does not have to have a foot fetish to appreciate a well turned ankle or sexy gait. Form helps function and the aesthetic foot should be free from deformity, no hammertoes, and bunions, ingrown or fungal toenails. But it is more than that. Excessive hair on the toes is not considered aesthetic to most beholders. Discolorations of the skin or nails can and should be erased. Spider veins should be a memory. The arch of the toes should be smooth and even. So what is the aesthetic foot? Walking and running pain free, turning a few heads on the beach. When aesthetic feet walk by—you'll know.

Pardis K.

Thank you for the fabulous seminar. This note should have reached you much sooner; however I have just come up for air and am working on my marketing for Sculptra and Botox®.

I will make sure APMA gets a letter regarding your seminar. I think the progressive podiatrists can definitely benefit from your lectures.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us, and I will keep you posted on my progress.

I recently had the pleasure of taking the course, Practices in Aesthetic Medicine at the Institute Beaute' with Suzanne Levine,DPM and Everett Lautin, MD in New York,NY. I have cross trained with plastic surgeons and dermatologists both in my residency training and as an attending physician. I feel that this training course teaches the direct application of some important concepts in dermatology and plastic surgery as they relate to the field of podiatry.

Dear Drs Levine, Lautin and Itenberg,
I just wanted to thank you for inviting me into your office last month. Although I have attended two previous IAFS seminars, which were very worthwhile experiences, it made such a difference to receive the individualized attention I had in your office and to see first hand how the aesthetic portion of your practice operates.
